Designer Touloumes triumphs in Harden's custom promotion

McConnellsville, N.y. — Dean Touloumes, an interior designer on staff at David's Furniture and Interiors in Harrisburg, Pa., has won Harden Furniture's Best Customization Story Contest, a promotion from the manufacturer for its Harden Home Studio dealers.
He won an expense-paid trip for two to San Francisco, including tickets to Western Interiors magazine's Annual Design + Home Show, Oct. 26–28.
Touloumes submitted an amusing recap of his customer's quest to select the perfect seat cushions for one of Harden's upholstered wedge sofas, which included several hours of test-sitting the complete selection of cushion fillings. The couple, with help from a friend, finally settled on a relaxed down option.
Greg Harden, president of Harden Furniture, will be a guest presenter at "The Green Room" during the Western Interiors fall event and will speak on the topic of sustainable manufacturing and environmental stewardship.
The winning story was drawn at Harden's June Customer Day event in McConnellsville, and the winning certificate was recently presented to Touloumes at his store by Harden sales representative Jim Mosellen.
