Escalate Retail names 4 to executive positions

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, July 29, 2007

Store software vendor Escalate Retail has named four persons to executive leadership positions.

Steve Pulver was named vice president and general manager of the company's Big Ticket solutions group. He will oversee the executive team responsible for Escalate's 240 Big Ticket retail customers. He succeeds Phil Kenney, who left the company to pursue other opportunities.

Escalate Retail's Big Ticket group develops, implements and supports software ranging from point-of-sale, customer service, merchandising, distribution and financial functions to business intelligence, CRM and E-commerce.

Pulver has more than 27 years of experience, most recently with GERS Retail, which merged with retail marketing systems company Ecometry to form Escalate.

Ron Sellers has been named vice president of sales, Pulver's former position. He will emphasize nurturing current customer relationships and cultivating new ones. Sellers retains his responsibilities as vice president of sales for FurnishNet, a division of Escalate.

Sellers has worked in the industry more than 18 years, having held roles at GERS, including account executive, and vice president of sales for SQL-Lite, and as one of the original executives of FurnishNet. He previously served as vice president of sales at software provider Amplitude Software.

Tim Kilbane has been named vice president of Technology Services. He has worked in the industry as a retailer and vendor for more than 22 years, most recently in various positions at GERS.

He will lead Escalate Retail's services business, working closely with the general managers of each industry group to oversee the elements of software delivery, including integration, customization, systems infrastructure, education services, implementation services, and project management.

Laura Weinhofer is the new vice president of marketing. She has more than 20 years of retail software, marketing and professional services experience, most recently at GERS. Her new responsibilities include lead generation, product marketing, events, and strategic industry relations, including analysts, customers, partners and press.
