Mohawk promotes Storey to senior VP of Fashion Brands

Dalton, Ga. — Bill Storey has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager of Mohawk Inds.' Fashion Brands, which includes Karastan rugs and broadloom carpeting under the Ralph Lauren, CustomWeave, Helios and Karastan brands.
He will continue to serve as senior vice president of Karastan, where he is a 20-year veteran. In his new post, he succeeds David Hardy, who is now responsible for Mohawk's Wunda Weve Carpet brand.
"Storey has had an impressive career with Karastan," said Tom Lape, president of Mohawk Residential. "When he joined the company in 1987, he proved himself as a successful territory manager, advancing up the ladder to head our efforts in Karastan's area rug and woven broadloom segments. Under his leadership, Karastan has made substantial product and sales achievement progress."
In his new role, Storey is charged with developing growth opportunities for the Karastan and Ralph Lauren brands as he manages overall business responsibilities for the broadloom, woven and rug segments of Mohawk Fashion Brands. He is based at Mohawk's Dalton facility.
