Verlo Mattress Madison store moves one block west

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, August 5, 2007

Verlo Mattress Factory Stores of Madison-West here has relocated to a new 8,750-square-foot building on West Beltline Highway, just off Todd Drive.

"We only moved one block west, but I think the new location has more to offer," said franchise owner Chad Franklin.

He also owns a Verlo franchise store on Madison's east side, on Washington Avenue. Franklin has sold hand-crafted mattresses in Madison since 1991.

Headquartered in Fort Atkinson, Wis., Verlo Mattress Factory Stores bills itself as a Craftsman-Direct mattress retailer, and as the only franchiser in the specialty sleep industry.

It has a strong presence in the Midwest, with stores as far west as Colorado and as far south as Florida.

In addition to mattresses, Verlo sells ornamental beds; futon mattresses, covers and frames; and bolsters and pillows.
