Southeast Top 100 chain W.S. Badcock has opened its first store in North Carolina's Triangle area of Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill with a 20,000-square-foot Badcock Home Furniture & more store here on South Park Drive.

The opening is part of the chain's push into North Carolina, Kentucky, West Virginia and other Southern states. Badcock plans an additional five to six stores in the Raleigh-Durham area.

"As the first Badcock store in the Triangle market, we are excited to get to know our new neighbors," said dealer Kelley Butler. She runs the store's daily operations with her brother, Marc Butler.
