DOC names 3 mandatory respondents for 2006

Washington — The U.S. Department of Commerce has named three mandatory respondents for the 2006 administrative review of antidumping duties.
These companies will receive an independent review, which will determine their duty rates on wood bedroom furniture shipped from China to the United States in 2006.
The companies are Starcorp Furniture (Shanghai), Jiangsu Dare Furniture Co. and Teamway Furniture (Dongguan).
The naming of these companies is significant because the outcome of their independent reviews also determines the rate for separate rate respondents in the case.
During the first administrative review period, which covered wood bedroom furniture shipments made to the U.S. between June 24, 2004, and Dec. 31, 2005, Starcorp and Jiangsu Dare also were mandatory respondents.
In the final results of that review, announced earlier this month, Starcorp received a duty of 216.01% and Jiangsu Dare received a duty of 48.97%.
These and other companies that received higher duty rates must pay the difference between those duties and the preliminary duties they had paid for shipments during the review period.
