Southern Motion exec John Todd dies at 31
Company establishes fund in his honor

TUPELO, Miss. – John Neely Todd, the information technology manager and son of a co-founder of motion producer Southern Motion, died at home of a sudden illness Aug. 19. He was 31.
Todd managed Southern Motion’s IT department for eight years. He was the only child of Wanda and Larry Todd, executive vice president and co-owner with President Guy Lipscomb of Southern Motion, based in Pontotoc, Miss.
He also is survived by his wife and a daughter. His wife, Wendy, is expecting a child due in March.
To honor his memory, Southern Motion has established a foundation to award scholarships to qualifying children of company employees. Tax deductible contributions may be sent to: John N. Todd Memorial Scholarship Fund, Create Foundation, P.O. Box 1053, Tupelo, Miss. 38802.
