Warren, Mich. — Bob Price, former vice president, division merchandise manager for furniture at JCPenney, has joined Art Van Furniture as vice president of merchandising for the Top 100 store chain.

Price will lead the 29-store Michigan chain's buying staff and provide direction for merchandise selection and assortment mix.
He reports to Art Van Co-president Gary Van Elslander.
"He will ensure that our extensive assortment offers exciting, fashion- forward products that fulfill the needs of our guests," Van Elslander said.
Price was with Plano, Texas-based JCPenney for over 30 years, from 1974 until this May, when he took early retirement.
