October 4, 2013-- Furniture Today,
Caracole is auctioning off this Bees Knees chair in pink fabric to raise funds for cancer research and support.
Caracole is sponsoring a raffle for one of its popular Bees Knees chairs upholstered with pink fabric. The raffle is open to the public and proceeds will be donated to Carolina Cancer Services, a Lexington, N.C -based cancer support group.
Information about the raffle is on the company's website at www.caracole.com, the Caracole Facebook page or the @ CaracoleHome Twitter page.
"We support the efforts of Carolina Cancer Services, an inspiring organization that does so much throughout the Davidson County (N.C.) community to provide meaningful support for breast cancer victims and their families," said Jeff Young, Caracole's CEO and a Davidson County native and resident. "Until a cure for this insidious disease is found, providing much needed care and understanding to those who are in immediate need of treatment remains a high priority for us all."
In addition to the raffle, Schnadig International, parent company of Caracole, will match a $10,000 donation from the Lynn and Jeff Young Foundation for a total contribution of $20,000 to Carolina Cancer Services.
The raffle winner will be announced on the Caracole Furniture Facebook page on Nov. 1. Several Caracole employees who have survived breast cancer applaud the company's fundraising initiative.
"CCS helps a variety of cancer patients, and they specifically help women with breast cancer by giving physical, emotional and financial support as needed," said Kristine Capra, director of upholstery merchandising for Caracole and a breast cancer survivor. "Our hope is that by engaging our furniture retail customers during the High Point Market, as well as the local community, that we will be able to raise a substantial amount to further the many critical initiatives and outreach by CCS."
