PAWTUCKET, RI — cmi (Colonial Mills Inc.), a family-run domestic manufacturer of braided-texture area rugs and accessories, has developed a new selection of products specifically for pets.
The Pet Collection features stain-resistant, polypropylene items made in various colors, designs and sizes to suit multiple décor styles and pet sizes.
"Walk in the office at cmi and you're instantly greeted by our dogs. We're pet people here, so a pet collection was an easy choice for us," said Meredith Thayer, creative director. "Add to that the growing pet segment we're seeing in the market and it was simple. We're seeing retailers, websites and catalogs adding and/or expanding the pet category. People love their pets, and they're willing to spend money on them."
cmi's collection offers a simple and sturdy storage option in the Pet Storage Basics grouping that comes in solid colors and three functional sizes: 14"x14"x7", 12"x12"x6", and 10"x10"x5".
Additional storage offerings include the Houndstooth Bright Edge and Boat House Tweed baskets.
Coordinating the storage options are a selection of dog bone rugs designed to protect floors. It is offered in four styles: solid, color edge, houndstooth bright, and boat house tweed, and in three sizes.
The various sizes make them suitable for multiple sizes of dog bowls.
