Shell Rummel expands in home
Thomas Russell -- Furniture Today, March 13, 2013
Washington - Watercolor artist/designer Shell Rummel is moving into bedding following the launch of bath and rugs last fall.
She makes her first foray in bedding with licensee Ivy Hill Home, which will launch six quilts and accessory combinations with five signature prints and one single needle embroidered solid.
All will be 100% cotton construction with a targeted queen retail price of $99.
Rummel's painterly designs will also be featured in new collections with Bacova, which debuted an expansive collection last September of bath décor, accessories and rugs. With placement already at Bed Bath & Beyond with "La Mer", Bacova will offer five bath collections.
"Inspired by nature, Rummel is drawn to organic lines, authentic materials, layers that reveal and patterns that make the eye dance. Her artistic creation involves engaging all the senses, capturing the soul and heartbeat of emotions and bringing them to life in her distinctive collections," according to a release about the new lines.
The Shell Rummel collection will be targeted to specialty retailers and department stores. Rummel's studio has been creating products for the wedding, stationery, gift and Judaic specialty niche markets since 2000.
