MONROE, Mich. — La-Z-Boy and Todd Oldham said they are ending their partnership at the end of their four-year contract.
As a result, La-Z-Boy said it will end production of the Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy collection of upholstered and occasional furnishings, decorative accessories and fabrics by the end of the year. The Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy store in New York will close this year.
Current orders for Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy products will be honored, the company said.
“The Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy collection successfully drove awareness of the diverse La-Z-Boy product offering and enhanced our brand among younger, style-conscious customers,” said Doug Collier, chief marketing officer for La-Z-Boy.
La-Z-Boy introduced the Oldham collection at the fall 2003 High Point Market.
The news coincided with an announcement by Gap that Oldham will become creative design director of its Old Navy brand, effective Oct. 1.
