Web site offers video of Las Vegas July market trends

Las Vegas — A new video view of the summer Las Vegas Market is available on the World Market Center's Web site.
"Style File," a report on styles and trends from the event hosted by Tym Desanto of the HGTV show "Design Star," is available at www.lasvegasmarket.com.
"Las Vegas Market is not only the largest new industry event, it also is a fashion-forward marketplace where manufacturers are launching new products and collections," said Dana Andrew, the WMC's vice president of marketing and public relations.
"There were a number of trend-worthy introductions during our summer market, and we wanted to put these styles into a useful context for retailers and designers," she said.
WMC teamed with trend and design firm Sphere Trending to identify highlights for the year ahead, as featured in "Style File." They spotlighted 10 trends:

Sweet Natured, with whitewashed finishes, weathered touches, sweet florals, cut and etched glass and limed oak.

Space Race, with geometric angles, curves with motion, cheeky planetary-inspired designs, and futuristic finishes and fabrics.

Florentine Formal, with rich, glowing woods, intricate scrollwork patterns, subtle damask prints, and warm finishes for metals.

Function Added, featuring integrated features, functions that are hidden until needed, and elements that surprise and delight.

Downsize Me! These innovative storage solutions have scaled-back sizing, sleek and tailored lines and uncluttered designs.

Artisan, with complex and layered metal finishes, one-of-a-kind items, hand-crafted touches, authentic detailing.

Authentically Green, with sustainable woods, eco-friendly fabrics, dyes and other material, natural and organic elements
