Broyhill to add motion upholstery
Import line in leather, leather-fabric collages

HIGH POINT — Broyhill is introducing a motion upholstery program that highlights tailoring, seating and overall construction details.
The Chinese-built collection, debuting in the company’s market showroom here, includes motion sofas, sectionals, loveseats, rocker recliners, low-leg recliners and home theater pieces with storage. Styles are traditional and transitional, and covers are leather and leather-fabric collages.
“This program is an integral addition to our product line as we focus on developing more relevant and coordinated product across all categories,” said Don Webb, Broyhill executive vice president of sales and merchandising. “With the addition of motion furniture, we move one step closer to becoming a complete source for our retail partners.”
With the new line positioned to hit an upper-medium pricing tier, Webb said, “We are offering the most premium construction, styling and leathers at very aggressive price points that represent an unprecedented value.”
Five transitional groups and three traditional groups are offered in the married leather program. Examples of the design features are a rollover pub back with angled pad arms, and border backs with pleated arms.
Leather/fabric collages are matched with coordinating chenilles, velvets and jacquards.
In home theater, a three-recline unit features two adjoining wedge tables with flip-up storage and angled cupholders. All three seats recline, including the middle, which is outfitted with a parachute cord release.
The home theater designs include a rollover pub-back frame with padded chaise seat cushions, as well as a hand-wiped leather with picture frame border stitched back cushions and nailheads.
Other styles include R850, a reclining sofa, loveseat or rocker recliner. This transitional rollover pub back frame has angled pad arms and padded chaise seat cushions. A sectional can be configured with the addition of a seat wedge between the sofa and loveseat.
R702, offered as sofa, loveseat or recliner, is adorned with a top-stitched, flanged border back pillow with kidney, as well as wedge-shaped arm, chaise seat cushion and full leg support.
Traditional offerings include the R701 group, featuring a hand-wiped antiqued leather cover, scoop arms, nailheads and scrolled wing with picture frame border stitching on back and seat cushions.
