Emerson et Cie updates Web site

High Point — High-end case goods importer Emerson et Cie has revamped its Web site to provide real-time information to dealers.
The site at www.emersonetcie.com offers information such as order status and inventory levels. Retailers wanting specific information about their orders can check invoices online.
"If we are not available or it is the weekend or after hours, they still have access to it," said Beverly Sherrill, director of marketing. "Anything we can give our customers to make their lives easier and provide instant gratification, that is what we are working towards."
Emerson et Cie made the upgrade in conjunction with the mailing of its new 200-page catalog to some 1,400 dealers in June.
President Mark Smith said the changes will help clients, especially those in different time zones. Customers "need information when they need it, and that does not necessarily coincide with our normal business hours," said Smith.
"This is especially true during busy weekend hours when we aren't open at all," he added. "With today's service being the key ingredient to enabling our customers to be successful, they must be able to access information 24/7."
Another new feature on the Web site offers press releases relating to product introductions.
And a new advertisements link lets the user see recent magazine ads Emerson et Cie has run, and offers additional information about the products shown, including names and identification numbers.
At this week's market here, the company shows at 200 N. Hamilton, S-205.
