STANLEYTOWN, Va. — Rick Lovorn, senior vice president of manufacturing for Stanley Furniture, resigned his position last week, according to the company.
Lovorn was hired last year to the new position at Stanley and was responsible for engineering and all four Stanley production sites, including the Young America plant. He replaced Bob Sitler, who was to focus on imported goods as vice president of global sourcing.
Last week, Stanley said it would shift its manufacturing operations from its Martinsville, Va. plant into its Stanleytown plant and lay off 250 workers.
Before joining Stanley, Lovorn was director of manufacturing for Masco Builder Cabinet Group. Earlier, he managed two plants of a Masco subsidiary, Merillat Inds.
