TACOMA, Wash. — Importer and manufacturer Emerald Home Furnishings has hired veteran sales representative Todd Johnson in the newly created position of national key accounts manager, West.
Emerald President David Beckmann said the post is a new concept for the company, whose line includes case goods, upholstery and bedding.
“Todd will work with major accounts throughout the western half of the country. Some of the territories have salespeople currently in place and some areas have key accounts only,” Beckmann said. “We wanted to make sure that someone was readily available when opportunities arise, and Todd is an ideal choice.”
Johnson reports to Beckmann. A national accounts post for the East also has been created and has yet to be filled. Tim Lott continues as national sales manager.
Johnson has been a rep covering Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Idaho for 30 years, most recently for Comfor-Pedic by Simmons and earlier for such lines as Universal, Natuzzi and Bernhardt.
“I was looking for the best way to complete my career of serving this industry, and Emerald exemplifies what I want to be known for, notably quality products and a highly focused approach to service,” Johnson said. “David’s looking to keep Emerald’s growth strong and I intend to help with the cause.”
