3 former Storehouse execs launch consulting firm

Atlanta — Three former Storehouse executives have launched HB2 Resources, a consulting firm geared toward bringing innovative products, designs, marketing and merchandising solutions to the home furnishings arena.
The Atlanta-based company consists of Caroline Hipple, who was president of retailer Storehouse before parent company Rowe closed it last year; Dixon Bartlett, who was senior vice president of merchandising and marketing; and Joey Bowers, who was vice president of direct sales channels.
"When we decided to put HB2 together, the key question we asked ourselves was how we could use our collective experience and vision to help build brands," Hipple said. "We all saw the tremendous amount of change impacting the business and one of the things that our team has always been is proactive to change."
The firm says it aims to provide "Your Formula for Success" with a focus on three key areas: creating brand invigoration strategies; providing transformational architecture as a blueprint for change; and building multi-channel and multifunctional alignment for retailers and suppliers.
HB2's partners have chosen creative job titles that reflect their roles. Hipple is chief energy officer, Bowers is chief interactive officer and Bartlett is chief creative officer.
Despite the lighthearted titles, the company is serious about providing results for its clients, including designer and actress Jaclyn Smith, who has announced a reorganization of her home collections under an integrated brand, Jaclyn Smith Home. HB2 is coordinating merchandising, marketing and sales for the brand.
HB2 also is working with manufacturer Hickory Hill Furniture. The company was a resource for Hipple and Bartlett when they were at retailer This End Up.
