IHFC sets open accents area

High Point — The International Home Furnishings Center plans to radically transform the third floor of its Main Building into Pavilions On 3 to create "a vibrant and open market signature" for temporary exhibitors of decorative accessories and home accents, market officials said.
At the spring High Point Market, set for April 7–13, the 40,000-square-foot area will host as many as 40 companies new to the IHFC in spaces ranging from 300 to 1,500 square feet.
"The quick and overwhelming response confirms the demand for space, as much as the importance of showing innovative merchandise in a premier location with strong buyer traffic," said Tom Lindh, IHFC president and CEO.
Pavilions On 3 will be similar to the product category focus across the third floor bridge to IHFC's Green-Wrenn wings.
Current furniture showrooms will be relocated elsewhere in the building.
Together with Pavilions On 3, an additional 40,000 square feet will become available to permanent showrooms in decorative accessories and home accents, the primary product focus on IHFC's floors 2, 3 and 4.
With the primary entrance at the bridge linking IHFC's Main Building to the Green-Wrenn wings, Pavilions On 3 will be a self-sufficient exhibition area, featuring a restaurant, bistro-cappuccino bar, entertainment-presentation rest areas and two elevator banks.
