Shenzhen, China — Home Line Inds., a Philadelphia-based furniture importer, distributor and manufacturer, has opened an office here to handle its southern China sourcing, project development, international logistics and quality control.
The 7,000-square-foot office will be home to 30 staff members and 25 quality assurance experts who visit factories daily. The facility includes design centers for product development and a video-conference center that connects all the Home Line offices for daily meetings.
The company also has overseas offices in Shanghai, China, and in Vietnam, Malaysia, Brazil and Italy. It has U.S. distribution centers in Philadelphia and Chicago, showrooms in High Point and Philadelphia, and an upholstery plant in Asheboro, N.C.
Home Line said it also has implemented a new quality process to ensure consistency and reliability for all its products.
Josh Block, executive vice president, said the new office represents "a great step for Home Line in Asia. We are committed to bringing our customers top-quality product at aggressive price points." He added the overseas expansion "will give us the ability to introduce more product at a quicker pace."
