Kalaty moving functions to Hicksville

Will give New York showroom more space

NEW YORK — Kalaty Rug Corp. is consolidating warehousing and shipping at its facility in Hicksville, N.Y., removing those functions from its New York City showroom.

The move is designed to make the showroom more of a showcase for Kalaty’s growing collections of area rugs. The company said both locations will have corporate offices.

"In order to serve our customers better and to enhance our New York showroom, we felt it was important to separate the various functions," said Farshad Kalaty, a company spokesman.

Kalaty's New York showroom is at 443 Park Avenue South, in the Oriental rug district.
