ISPA to sponsor Recharging Center
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, November 18, 2007
Alexandria, Va. — In keeping with its 2008 theme of showing how sleep can improve performance, the International Sleep Products Assn. will operate a Media Recharging Center at the Las Vegas Market.
The 2,600-square-foot facility, operated in partnership with the World Market Center, will enable journalists to book a nap on their choice of sleep surface. They also can speak with experts on sleep and performance, including Bert Jacobson, an Oklahoma State University professor who has done extensive research on sleep deficiencies and mattress quality.
ISPA members will donate mattresses and accessories for the center, which will be in space B-230 of the WMC. Journalists can book 20- or 40-minute naps between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. during market, Jan. 28–Feb. 1.
"This unique hands-on program creatively shows reporters what our industry knows all too well — that sleep is integral to your optimal daily performance," said Dick Doyle, ISPA president.
