Alexandria, Va. — Jim Nation has resigned as chairman of the board of the International Sleep Products Assn., the bedding industry association said. It said he stepped down "for personal reasons."
Nation will be succeeded by ISPA Vice Chair Charlie Eitel, CEO of Simmons.
"Jim has served the mattress industry well for many years on both the ISPA Board and the Better Sleep Council," said ISPA President Dick Doyle. "He has been outstanding in terms of understanding member needs and contributing to the association's success."
ISPA said Kerry Tramel, president of Lady Americana, who heads ISPA's Nominating Committee, is working with that committee to identify a new vice chairman, whose nomination will be presented to the ISPA board for approval.
Nation was president of bedding major Spring Air until he resigned from that post in August.
