Atlanta — Shaw Inds. will stage its annual regional flooring market, Shaw Innovations, simultaneously with the first three days of the Atlanta International Area Rug Market in January.
The Jan. 17–19 event will be Shaw's first regional market held in conjunction with another market or wholesale buying show. A custom-designed gallery encompassing the entire first-floor exhibit hall of AmericasMart, together with the 13,000-square-foot Shaw Living showroom, will house the event.
Shaw will present a flooring program with residential and commercial carpeting, wood and laminate flooring, ceramic tiles, area rugs, carpet cushioning, Anso nylon recyclable carpets and rugs, and ancillary flooring products. The Shaw showroom is on the sixth floor of AmericasMart.
"Shaw Innovation 2008 is about exciting new retail programs for our dealers to gain profit opportunities in the New Year," said Casey Johnson, vice president, retail of Shaw Inds.
"This historic co-staging is in direct response to key flooring retailer feedback. Shaw responded to requests for added conveniences and greater access to product. It's truly a win-win for the area rug and flooring industry as a whole," said Chas Sydney, senior vice president of flooring and new business development at AmericasMart parent AMC Inc.
Shaw Living represents rug names including Kathy Ireland Home, Tommy Bahama Home, mary-kateandashley Home and Jack Nicklaus.
