Global Link expands shipping program
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, November 25, 2007
Atlanta — Global Link Logistics, a freight forwarder specializing in furniture shipments from Asia to the United States, has expanded its FLEX program to four new states.
FLEX, which stands for Furniture Less than Container Express, allows dealers and suppliers to consolidate orders as small as 300 cubic feet from multiple factories in Asia.
The service is largely aimed at small to midsized customers that can't or don't wish to order full containers from a single factory.
The service originally served 41 states. As of Oct. 29, it added North and South Dakota, Nebraska and Minnesota.
The only states the company doesn't serve now are Iowa, West Virginia, Kentucky, Alaska and Hawaii.
