Safavieh to launch crystal lamp collection in High Point
Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, September 24, 2013
Home accessories source Safavieh will launch its first collection of crystal lighting during the Oct. 19-24 High Point Market.
A contemporary riff on the classic urn silhouette, the Darcy black crystal urn lamp is crafted of solid black crystal. The 23.5-inch-tall two dimensional base and black satin rectangular shade bring a fun contemporary update to an ages-old vessel motif. Retail is $261.
The collection, dubbed Crystal Facets, includes table and floor lamps in a total of 69 SKUs in styles including vintage, baroque, transitional and contemporary. The lamps will be on display in Safavieh's Market Square 120A showroom.
"Our crystal collection targets design-savvy consumers with lamps styled to complement the multi-faceted lifestyle themes in today's homes. We are seeing a resurgence of interest in crystal in updated classic forms and the Crystal Facets line allows every consumer to find the right look to complement her design style and budget," said Jonathan Yaraghi, general manager of Safavieh's wholesale furniture and lighting divisions.
Crafted in China, the solid crystal lamps offer exceptional clarity and heft, and come with shades in linen, cotton, or natural fiber blends. Shades include traditional shapes as well as contemporary squares and rectangles in neutrals and fashion colors, including orange and forest green.
Yaraghi said that Safavieh is preparing to introduce crystal chandeliers, pendants, sconces and ceiling lights at the winter Las Vegas Market to complete its offerings in the category.
Prices range from $172 to $ 449 for sets of two lamps and from $250 to $279 for single lamps.
