Haar named EVP at Bedding Inds. of America

NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Industry veteran Sande Haar has been named executive vice president of Bedding Inds. of America, which manufactures Eclipse International, Eastman House and the Ernest Hemingway Collection, and is also a Therapedic licensee.
He reports to President and CEO Stuart Carlitz.
"Sande will be responsible for serving as a key liaison to our growing family of retail customers and will call on major independents as well as national accounts," Carlitz said. "Sande will oversee and support our sales team's efforts, the development of point-of-purchase materials, and sales training with our retailers.
"He will also work with me and our suppliers developing world-class innovative bedding products which offer incredible value for our retailers and licensees. With Sande's additional experience in the hospitality bedding sector, he will spearhead development of our new contract bedding program for 2013."
Haar has worked in the industry for more than 30 years, including a 23-year run with Stearns & Foster and Sealy, where he was vice president of national accounts. He also was regional sales manager for Sealy's hospitality division. Most recently, Haar was national manager of new business development for International Bedding Corp.'s hospitality division.
