AUSTIN, Texas - Four Hands has hired Jackie Fitzgerald as senior account executive, with responsibility for international sales as well as customer-specific projects at the furniture source.
Most recently, Fitzgerald worked for Matteo and prior to that Environment Furniture. With more than 10 years of experience, she has held positions ranging from business development manager to director of sales and marketing, Four Hands said.
"Jackie's talents in sales and marketing make her a perfect addition to Four Hands," said Chris Miller, the company's national sales manager. "She brings significant value and knowledge to our team and we are glad to have her on board."

HICKORY, N.C. - John Mayo has joined Hickory Springs Mfg. as general counsel, replacing Blake Trimble, who officially retired at the end of June.
Mayo and Trimble will work together during the next few weeks as Mayo becomes more familiar with Hickory Springs and its ongoing legal projects, the company said.
Mayo previously worked for Coltec Inds., Goodrich Corp. and Enpro Inds.
"While we will all miss Blake, I am very pleased to welcome John Mayo," said David Colburn, Hickory Springs president and CEO. HIGH POINT - High end case goods and upholstery resource Theodore Alexander has named William Gibhardt director of fabric merchandising, a new position.
Gibhardt was creative director of Hickory White from 1999 to 2010 and most recently had his own independent showroom design and installation company that served various furniture manufacturers.
Gibhardt joined the company June 1 and reports to Thomas Woller, president of Theodore Alexander upholstery.
He will be responsible for fabric merchandising and upholstery showroom display for the company's Theodore Alexander, Althorp Living History and Kenos Bros. collections as well as the company's latest acquisition of upper end upholstery manufacturer TRS, which it announced earlier this year.
He also will oversee the installation of the company's new 11,000-square-foot upholstery showroom at 229 W. Russell St. in High Point.
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. - Nourison has promoted Julie Rosenblum to executive director of licensing, a new position.
She will be responsible for managing and developing licensed brands for the company in addition to her sales responsibilities. She has worked for Nourison for more than 12 years, most recently as brand manager.
"Julie has been an integral part of our sales and licensing team," said Alex Peykar, principal at Nourison. "Her level of commitment and dedication to our company has been reflected in her work. She has done a great job of ensuring that the delicate balance between the needs of our brand and those of our licensees are maintained effectively."

CHANTILLY, Va. - Contemporary office and home entertainment specialist BDI has named Robert Keeler director of AV sales.
Keeler was most recently BDI's national account manager. He reports to Dave Herman, president.
"In the time he's been with us, we've been able to see his work ethic and passion for the industry lead to many successes," Herman said in a press release.
In his new role, Keeler will develop BDI's sales and distribution within the custom home theater channel, among other sales responsibilities. He will continue to work with national accounts.
Keeler is a former director of business development for custom marketing research firm ClickIQ Inc. Previous roles also include positions at Hitachi America, CEIVA Logic, Creative Labs and for Pioneer Electronics USA.
Previously, Craig Matthews was director of BDI's AV sales.
DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - Media furniture, wine cabinet and electric fireplace specialist Twin-Star International has named Brian Brigham director of marketing and public relations.
His responsibilities include directing and managing the company's marketing and public relations in both consumer and trade markets . Brigham reports to Bill Caples, vice president of sales and marketing.
He was most recently creative director for Brigham Designs, a creative firm focused on providing advertising, tradeshow support and custom promotions for clients that included The Patrón Spirits Co. and Gamo Outdoor USA. Brigham is a former director of marketing for Decolav, a high-end bathroom furniture manufacturer.

FORT SMITH, Ark. - Hickory Springs Mfg. has hired Chad Van Kooten as its regional sales manager of its Mid-West foam division.
Van Kooten is responsible for sales at Hickory Springs' foam complex here and its facility in Arlington, Texas. He will be based at the Fort Smith facility.
"We're very excited to have Chad join us as our new regional sales manager, " said David Duncan, vice president of the Western foam division. "We look forward to seeing how his diverse background and extensive experience will help us open up new markets and revenue streams for the Mid-West foam division."
Van Kooten has more than 20 years of experience in sales and operation in the logistics and pharmaceutical industries. He most recently worked as executive vice president and chief sales officer for USA Truck, leading the sales team, overseeing customer service, established pricing guidelines, and guiding product portfolio diversification.
FORNEY, Texas - Casual dining and occasional importer Steve Silver has named Gil Sturtzel to the new position of director of merchandising and product development.
Sturtzel reports to David Corbin, chief operating officer.
He most recently was president of design and product development firm Gil Sturtzel International. Sturtzel also formerly held executive positions at Davis International, Pacific Marketing International and Bell Furniture Inds.
DALLAS - Feizy Rugs has named Mark Jerdon regional sales manager for the northeastern territory.
He reports to Dale Sweary, vice president of sales.
Jerdon will be responsible for growing all segments of business in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Washington, D.C., Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia and Massachusetts.
"Mark has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of our industry, relationships covering a broad base of customers and a 31-year history of successful selling," Sweary said. NEWARK, N.J. -- Mattress manufacturer Shifman has honored employee Bill Hawkens with a 20 Year Service Award for his dedication and commitment to the company.
"Bill has been a key player in the growth and development of this company," said Bill Hammer, president of Shifman. "He is an important part of Shifman Mattress Company and I personally look forward to working with him for many years to come."
Hawkens began his career at Shifman in 1992 as a sales representative. He was promoted to key account manager and now handles the company's largest and most important accounts, according to a release from Shifman. Hawkens also assists with merchandising and helps develop new marketing strategies.
