Fairfax Home, South Sea Rattan open West Coast warehouse

ONTARIO, Calif. — Bedroom and dining room importer Fairfax Home and sister company South Sea Rattan have opened a West Coast warehouse and distribution center here.
The 50,000-square-foot leased facility will warehouse and ship bestselling products in each line, the company said. It will primarily ship to West Coast customers, while the company's 127,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center in Greensboro, N.C., will ship to those in the East.
"This will help us service our West Coast customers more efficiently," President Jacob Kuo said in a statement, adding that customers can still buy from each line container direct. "It will also help our customers maintain stock until their containers arrive in port.... In this way, it just adds value to our business formula for the West Coast."
At this month's High Point Market, the company is introducing a new custom cushion program for Fairfax Home dining chairs. Customers will be able to choose from as many as 15 fabric options and have those applied to cushions on the dining chair seats.
Those orders will be handled in Greensboro, where the company also has a cut and sew/assembly and finishing operation. The Greensboro facility also continues to handle cut and sew and custom finishing for cushions and frames in the South Sea Rattan line.
At market, the new fabric options and other new SKUs will be on display in the company's International Home Furnishings Center showroom, M-732.
