AHFA appoints Bray chairman

HIGH POINT — John Bray, CEO of full-line producer Vanguard Furniture, was elected 2010 chairman of the American Home Furnishings Alliance during the organization's annual meeting in Palm Beach, Fla., this month.

Bob Duncan, CEO of American Leather, has moved to first vice chairman, while Broyhill Furniture President Jeff Cook was elected second vice chairman.

Bruce Bradburn, CEO of Bradburn Gallery, has moved to immediate past chairman of the AHFA board.

The officers assume their new posts Jan. 1.

Members newly elected to serve three-year terms on the AHFA board include Noel Chitwood, American of Martinsville; Bill Colegrove, Aspenhome; Doug Collier, La-Z-Boy; Stefanie Lucas, Rowe Fine Furniture; Allan Palecek, Palecek; Glenn Prillaman, Stanley Furniture; George Revington, Home Meridian International; Ralph Scozzafava, Furniture Brands International; Henry Vanderminden, Telescope Casual and Todd Wanek, Ashley Furniture Inds.
