Gonzalez to focus on Logistics Warehouse

Ontario, Calif. — Eric Gonzalez is stepping down as president of rustic furniture producer Gonzalez & Associates to focus on managing the High Point and California facilities of Logistics Warehouse of America.
Originally known as High Point Home Furnishing Center, Logistics Warehouse has two main properties, a 62,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center in High Point and a 45,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution facility in Ontario, Calif.
Logistics Warehouse, which Gonzalez founded last month, will manage the logistics that extend beyond lease agreements at the two facilities, he said.
He has been president of Gonzalez & Associates for the past four years. A replacement has not yet been named. Gonzalez' father, Gus, remains chairman and CEO.
Eric Gonzalez said Logistics Warehouse has seven furniture clients, including Fusion Design and Seahawk Design. The company provides logistics and inventory management services on an as-needed basis in shared warehouse and distribution facilities.
This arrangement, Gonzalez said, helps companies better manage logistics without using a larger facility that isn't operating at capacity. The flow of goods from Asia and Latin America, he said, is helping sustain the business model.
"This move allows me to focus on and turn my attention to something I have a passion for," Gonzalez said. "I see tremendous opportunity. We are definitely at a point where logistics services are on the rise."
