Video tracks what happened to Blu Dot street chairs
Furniture was placed in public spots around New York

NEW YORK — A new video report by the Wall Street Journal available on marketwatch.com takes a look at Blu Dot's recent viral experiment on the streets of New York.
To celebrate the one-year anniversary of its store here, the contemporary furniture specialist put a new spin on the age-old city pastime of finding furniture or art on the street and giving it a new home.
The company placed several dozen of its chairs in public locations throughout New York, free for the taking. Film crews then captured the reactions of passersby, and GPS units hidden on the chairs enabled the company to track where the furniture ended up.
