Kaleen to debut Paula Deen rug line at January market

Queen of Southern Cooking will greet buyers at Jan.17 party

DALTON, Ga. — Food Network superstar Paula Deen will introduce a licensed line of rugs from Kaleen Rugs at the upcoming Atlanta rug market.

The Queen of Southern Cooking, who has been hailed as one of the 10 most influential women in America, will greet buyers at a cocktail party in Kaleen’s AmericasMart showroom beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17. Kaleen shows in space 3-C-9.

Joe Barkley, executive vice president of the rug maker and importer, said three Paula Deen collections would debut at the market. They are:

Paula's Porch & Home, a machine-made, indoor-outdoor polypropylene collection made in China.
Paula Deen's Comfort, a machine-made, space-dyed polypropylene collection.
Paula Deen's Signature, a hand-tufted collection made in India.

"The licensing agreement with Paula Deen is a major breakthrough for Kaleen, and the two machine-made collections mark our entry into the machine-made category," said Barkley.

Deen, who hosts the Food Network’s “Paula’s Home Cooking” show, has written a number of cookbooks and has appeared on numerous talk shows.
