Miss NC to appear at Lifestyle show

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, December 16, 2007

Miss North Carolina USA and a pair of snazzy sports cars will be among the attractions at Lifestyle Enterprise's third Forbidden City Furniture Show, Jan. 14–16.

Of course, new product and great prices will continue to be the big draw, said James Riddle, the importer's managing director. Lifestyle again will pick up the airfare and hotel bills for major retailers attending the event, and said it was mailing out 3,000 invitations.

"We have such success at this show that we couldn't wait to invite everyone back again this year," said Riddle. "They're coming here from all over the country."

Andrea Duke, crowned Oct. 29 as Miss North Carolina USA, will emcee social events on Monday and Tuesday evenings during the mini-market. A 25-year-old native of Saluda, N.C., Duke is pursuing a master's degree in business management at the University of Florida.

Lifestyle also will give away two convertibles, a BMW Z4 3.0i and a Mercedes Benz SLK 280, to lucky marketgoers at the Monday and Tuesday evening events.
