Descartes Systems acquires RouteView
Companies provide delivery, logisitics technology

WATERLOO, Ontario — Logistics software provider Descartes Systems Group said today it has acquired privately held Burnsville, Minn.-based RouteView Technology for US$3 million in cash.
The company said they also will pay an addition US$ 500,000 in cash if RouteView meets certain sales targets.
Widely used in the furniture industry, RouteView provides technology to help small and medium-sized companies manage delivery operations. RouteView offers map-based routing software, combined with wireless/GPS and automated call-out technology.
