New mattress retailer opens in Mich.

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — Traverse City Mattress and Back has opened its first location here on Garfield Avenue.
The 1,400-square-foot locally owned store is dedicated to mattress sets exclusively made by Clare Bedding in Escanaba, Mich.
Clare Bedding has been in business since 1936 and produces mattress sets for the residential, hotel and health care industries. Components include soy-based foam, non-toxic antimicrobial fire barriers, bamboo fiber, natural latex and American steel.
The retailer also offers Flexsteel lift recliners. Flexsteel is a producer of residential, health care, hospitality and recreational vehicle seating.
Mike Mahn, owner and general manager, also owns and manages Golden-Fowler Home Furnishings, which has been a Flexsteel dealer since 1964.
