PICO RIVERA, Calif. -- Importer AICO/Amini Innovations Corp. presented three awards at its annual holiday party Dec. 15 at the Hyatt Resort in Huntington Beach, Calif.
The Employee of the Year award was presented to Mark Reyes, director of creative arts. Reyes has been with AICO for four years in his current position, and had worked with Chairman and CEO Michael Amini independently for several years prior to that.
“The essence of this award is in the acronym AICO, which stands for Attitude, Initiative, Commitment and Outstanding performance,” said Amini. “Mark consistently contributes new ideas while enthusiastically leading the charge in the branding and imaging of AICO.”
The Spirit of Excellence award was presented to Bonnie Chung, AICO’s manager of international purchasing, for her passion in participation, and in recognition of the exemplary efficiency and energy she puts forth, according to the company. Bonnie is the corporate liaison to AICO’s factories in China and oversees the flow of containers. She has been with AICO for nearly four years.
The Partner in Progress award was presented to Furniture/Today in recognition of its commitment and service throughout the year.
“Kevin Castellani and his dedicated team have presented truly innovative ideas for our advertising and continue to play an integral role in promoting the AICO brand,” said Larry Rinaldi, AICO’s president. AICO has advertised in Furniture/Today for 10 years.
“All three of these awards were well deserved, and I am honored to have such a committed team behind me,” added Amini.
