Southern California reps set golf tourney
Will honor Reed Furniture, Fairchild of California

LOS ANGELES — The Southern California Home Furnishings Representatives Guild will host its annual golf tournament April 21 at the Yorba Linda Country Club.
Two companies will be honored for their contributions to the industry: Reed Furniture of Agoura Hills, Calif., as 2008 Retailer of the Year, and Fairchild of California as 2008 Manufacturer of the Year.
Industry notables are expected to turn out for the tournament, dinner and auction, which will raise funds for the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Los Angeles. In the past two years the event has raised more than $80,000 for Make-a-Wish, which helps children with life-threatening diseases and their families enjoy a “dream day.”
The Guild is a professional association of about 100 reps that offers a number of member benefits, including group medical coverage, through the Western Home Furnishings Assn.
