Art Van Furniture names two executives to new posts

Steve Glucksman, Kevin Gilfillan in VP roles

WARREN, Mich. — Art Van Furniture has named Steve Glucksman vice president of strategic development and Kevin Gilfillan vice president of sales.

"Growing core business with new initiatives is a priority for Art Van Furniture in 2010," the 32-store Top 100 company said in a release. The retailer said Glucksman "will be instrumental in creating innovative business opportunities with his new post." He joined Art Van's senior management in May 2008 and most recently was vice president of operations.

Gilfillan has been with the company for 25 years and has worked in nearly every facet of the company including sales and store management. In his new position he will manage all Art Van locations.

"These talented individuals will take an even bigger role to help drive our business for 2010 and beyond," said Art Van CEO Kim Yost. "They represent some of the best and brightest in the retail industry."
