LaCrosse building new facility in Kan.

LACROSSE, Kan. — Upholstery manufacturer and importer LaCrosse Furniture has broken ground on a 25,000-square-foot warehouse and production facility at its headquarters here.
The company said the addition will allow it to expand its domestic upholstery and sofa-sleeper production and increase its selection of imported products such as leather sofas, loveseats, chairs, ottomans, leather sleepers and fabric upholstery.
“The LaCrosse management considers this move a key component to our continued expansion of our present business plan of domestic and import products,” said Chris Podshun, president and CEO. “The growth of our customer base and expansion of product selection with many of our present customers has dictated this growth.”
Podshun said LaCrosse continues to see growth in its fabric upholstery and sofa-sleeper lines because of its special-order capability and fast turnaround time.
He said imported fabric and leather upholstery lines also “have seen considerable growth the past few years. Warehousing thousands of pieces of these products have allowed our dealers to lower their inventories and improve their bottom lines.”
