Jamison taps Hinman for vice president post
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 4, 2010
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — Ken Hinman has joined Jamison Bedding as vice president of sales and marketing, replacing Thad Pettyjohn, who retired Dec. 31.
Hinman formerly was vice president of global sales, marketing and design with Hartmann, the Tennessee-based luggage and leather goods producer.
“We are going to miss Thad's leadership, his extensive product knowledge and wisdom,” said Frank Gorrell, Jamison's president and CEO. “We wish him much success in a long-deserved retirement.”
Pettyjohn spent 30 years in sales, marketing and product development in the mattress industry. He will continue to serve the company in a senior consulting capacity and will assist Hinman in his new role.
Hinman has more than 25 years of experience in sales management and product development. In addition to his tenure at Hartmann, he previously worked at Federated Department Stores, Elizabeth Arden and Revlon.
