St. Louis — Furniture Brands International has named Ralph Scozzafava as its CEO, following the plan it announced when it hired him as vice chairman six months ago.
Mickey Holliman has stepped down as CEO of the second-largest U.S. furniture manufacturer and importer, a job he has held since 1996. He will remain chairman, a post he has held since 1998, until May 1.
"Ralph brings to this company a strong vision and an extraordinary breadth and depth of experience. The company is in good hands," said Holliman. Scozzafava was a top executive at Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co. before joining Furniture Brands in June.
Scozzafava thanked Holliman for his years of service. "I also thank Mickey for his wise counsel since I joined the company, and I look forward to working with him as we continue to implement our plan," he said.
FBI said it plans to announce its fourth quarter and 2007 year results on Jan. 30.
