Greenfield, Ind. — Industry veterans Ted Jarnagin and Stainton McArthur have joined case goods and upholstery source University Loft with a goal of expanding the company's sales force and adding to its Top 100 customer base.
Jarnagin was named director of retail sales, and McArthur key accounts manager. They report to President James Jannetides.
Both of the new executives have backgrounds in bedroom and upholstery merchandising. They were most recently at upholstery and case goods supplier Davis International, McArthur as a national accounts manager and Jarnagin as team leader, hiring and training the company's sales force for the eastern United States and calling on Top 100 accounts.
Jarnagin started his career in 1979 as a national accounts representative for manufacturer Bean Station. He later held posts at Catnapper and returned in 1986 as a partner and executive at Bean Station, assuming product development and associated responsibilities. He also has worked at Simmons Upholstery and Berkline.
McArthur joined Bean Station as a rep in 1988, moving to national account executive in 1992. He later worked at Catnapper and Berkline before joining Davis International.
