Brunton adds Back-to-School, holiday value

DALLAS – With an eye to the Back-to-School market for 2002, Brunton International recently debuted a dorm-oriented Valu-Pak that combines a bedrest and two finished pillows in a tote pouch.
Both the bedrest and the 18" x 18" pillows are covered with "shasta," a sculpted polyester construction. Retail pricing is $29, with a step-up pack featuring an extra-tall bedrest priced at $39.
Brunton, which specializes in imported chenille throws and pillows, is making the components available in 60 solid colors that can be tailored by market to reflect a school's color scheme, said president Roy Brunton.
The company also has extended the same idea into Gift Paks containing two finished pillows and a throw, in four step-up constructions that retail from $29 to $49.
"This is really 'accessories in a bag,' " Brunton said. "It can be used for Mother's Day, Holiday or Back-to-School."
Throws are available in 40" x 66" or 42" x 70" sizes. Pillows also come in two sizes: 17 inches and 18 inches.
The opening price point gift pack features an acrylic, textured chenille. The medium price point uses a lightweight rayon chenille, and the moderate price point employs a rayon chenille. The top price point construction uses textured rayon chenille.
The components are available in plaids and solids in each of the four constructions and can be customized to mix plaids and solids within a single pack.
