Kids Today conference to focus on growth strategies

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 13, 2008

"Playing for Keeps," the eighth annual Kids Today conference, will be held at the Westin Savannah Harbor Resort and Spa here March 4–6.

Retailers, manufacturers and suppliers in the juvenile/youth industry will find out how to better reach customers, harness the power of the media, build a successful brand and tap into the consumer psyche.

The conference will focus on what the next generation of retailers has up their sleeves, and how other companies have grown their businesses.

Designer Edward Walker will kick off the event and share his insights on design and his experiences on the TLC TV show "Trading Spaces." Keynote speaker Rebecca Maddox, founding principal, president and CEO of marketing firm Maddox Smye, will talk about how to best communicate with and serve customers, and speaker and author Laurel Tielis will help attendees discover the power of using media.

Registration is open online at www.kidstodayonline.com or by calling (336) 605-1066.

All Baby and Child Inc., the parent company of the ABC Show, is sponsoring attendance at the Kids Today Conference. ABC will pay the registration fee for all independent juvenile retailers planning to attend until the conference is sold out.

"We believe that continuing education is as important to our retailers as it is to any other professionals," said Ken Goore, chairman of ABC. "The Kids Today Conference provides critical information on the current retail environment, so we are very happy to offer these sponsorships."

For further information on the ABC retailer sponsorships, go to www.theabcshow.com, e-mail info@theabcshow.com or phone (210) 691-4848.
