Segal promoted at Big Lots

Columbus, Ohio — Robert Segal has been promoted to senior vice president, general merchandise manager at Big Lots, responsible for the furniture and home divisions.
He joined the closeout retailer in late 2004 as vice president, divisional merchandise manager of furniture. Prior to that, he was vice president, divisional merchandise manager of housewares, luggage, furniture and home accessories at Green Bay, Wis.-based ShopKo for nine years.
Segal's new job is a new position at Big Lots. It was announced as one of several organizational changes at the retailer.
