TUPELO, Miss. — More than 40 new exhibitors of upholstery, case goods, bedding and decorative accessories have leased space for this month's Tupelo Furniture Market.
Market organizers said the new exhibitors will be scattered throughout the six-building Tupelo complex and are helping build positive momentum for the show, which takes place Jan. 22-24.
“We're optimistic,” said market Chairman V.M. Cleveland. “There are a few bright spots out there, and we think we'll see a little bit of growth in 2010.”
Cleveland said the new exhibitors will reinforce Tupelo's position as the industry's leading promotional furniture market. He said registrations for the January show are running “about even” with Tupelo's last market in August.
Headlining the new exhibitor list are upholstery and case goods importer Aspenhome, home office and entertainment furniture specialist Legends Furniture, and case goods importer Progressive Furniture and its parent company, Sauder Woodworking.
The list also includes promotional upholstery producer Washington Furniture, leather upholstery resource Gramercy Park, glider rocker and recliner resource Mac Motion Chairs, and bedding producers Restonic, Georgia Mattress and Capital Bedding.
In addition to the new exhibitors, eight existing exhibitors have moved to new locations in the Tupelo complex, Cleveland said.
