CHICAGO — The American Society of Interior Designers - Illinois Chapter has elected its board of directors for the 2009-2010 fiscal year, which began Oct. 1.
Joan Kaufman, owner of Naperville, Ill.-based Interior Planning & Design, is the 2009-2010 president.
She is joined by: President-elect Michelle Banks-Watt, Michelle Banks Interiors of Naperville, Ill.; Financial Director Christine Waechter, Constantine Carpet of Chicago; Director-at-Large Jessica Henn-Suh, Crusiét Corp. of Chicago; Membership Director Sarah Anderson, Sarah Anderson Interiors of Wheaton, Ill.; Professional Development Director John Martin-Rutherford, Harrington College of Design of Chicago; Communication Director Kelley Myers, FCA Design Center of Naperville, Ill.; Past President Hilary Sopata, LEED AP Interior Visions Designs of Park Ridge, Ill.; Jennifer Fair, student representative to the board, and Elizabeth Boaden, administrator.

DUBUQUE, IA — Flexsteel Inds. held its third annual Presidents Awards during the fall High Point Market.
Four Flexsteel Signature galleries from around the country were recognized for outstanding sales growth, merchandising and gallery aesthetics.
Ron Klosterman, CEO of Flexsteel, presented the awards to Bill and Lynn Bacon of Bacon's Furniture in Port Charlotte, Fla.; Stephen Darvin and Karla Niemiec of Darvin Furniture & Appliance in Orland Park, Ill.; Giff Gates of Gates Home Furnishings in Grants Pass, Ore.; and Stewart Boehmer of Mostly Sofas in Roanoke, Va.
