LENOIR, N.C. — Broyhill Furniture has named industry veterans to two newly created merchandising manager positions, Debbie Blackburn for occasional tables and Linda Moretz for youth furniture.
They report to Michael Foster, vice president, merchandising — case goods.
“Broyhill is planning to double its business over the next year in both these categories, a demanding goal to be sure,” said Foster. “Debbie and Linda are the right people to champion this goal.”
Blackburn previously was merchandise manager for Broyhill’s Continents accent collection and director of the company’s accessories program. Before joining the company, she opened and managed the Broyhill Home Collections store in Blowing Rock, N.C., and worked in retail for 28 years.
Moretz has been with Broyhill for 26 years. For the past year, she was merchandise coordinator — evaluating critical merchandising details and specifications, serving as an analyst of case goods performance measures, and helping coordinate showroom sample delivery. Earlier, she was an assistant to the vice presidents of merchandising and sales for 15 years, and was in dealer service for 10 years.
