Wampler named president of new Coe Ltd. unit

Will oversee importers Amelia Home, Urban Classics

MARIETTA, Ga. — Coe Ltd. has named John Wampler as president of a new business unit at the importer, called Coe Marketing for the Americas.

He will oversee case goods and upholstery importers Amelia Home and Urban Classics, sister companies under Coe Ltd.

Wampler remains president of Amelia Home. Scott Holliday remains president of Urban Classics, reporting to Wampler.

Amelia Home offers traditional styles at promotional to medium price points. Urban Classics offers medium-priced lifestyle case goods and upholstery.

Wampler said the change will convey to retailers that Amelia Home and Urban Classics are sister companies with unique product offerings. And while the companies remain separate entities, Wampler said they both utilize the resources of parent company Coe Ltd.

Coe Ltd. is run by founder and owner Charles Leung and has about 40 factories in China’s Guangdong and GuanXi provinces.

Wampler said the sales forces of Urban Classics and Amelia Home have been combined in some areas, such as New England and California. In others, they remain separate.

Urban Classics and Amelia Home will share a space at this week’s Las Vegas Market in the World Market Center, B-1440. In High Point, they occupy adjoining spaces on the seventh floor of the Main Wing of the International Home Furnishings Center.
